Of Small Matters

Unclear how sight must be to turn aside
The grace of finer bits of treasured beings.
Focused not on fibers pure, a loss brings
Mistaken view on that which eyes abide.
Grander things amidst the view turn the tide
Of trivial delights with weathered wings.
Life proposed, knowing not that while it sings,
Perchance gave of its life to those who died.
But with regard to things of nature small
Does not the drop of glistened dew give rise
To further lake and stream, which gathers all,
Guiding forces in masterful disguise.
Matters not their strength, for in proportion,
Strong attractors bestow their devotion.
